Aggravation of the day:
OK where to start, where to start... I will start at the beginning I guess. In December we went to Child and Youth Services on base to get Damien into day care. Understandably they need all sorts of things to get in there. One is a physical and one is a shot record. So I call my doctor's office to schedule the physical and get a copy of his shot record. I request the shot record and the woman on the other end informs me that he never had his 15 month shots. So I inform her that he in fact went in to the office in November and had the shots done. She told me that he had a recheck for his ears and got a flu shot (mind you, he was perfectly healthy and my doctor is shot happy, I have NO IDEA why he didn't give them to him). Now, I didn't take him to this appointment Mike did, because I was just out of surgery. So I proceed to flip out on the phone lady, and she made me an appointment for today.
Now that we are caught up on all of that here is what happened today. I had to share the car with Mike because only one is functional so he came home during breakfast and I dropped him back off at work and went to the doctor's office. I got there on time, and waited 15 minutes until I got called in. Damien made a little friend, he loved playing with another baby, which is kind of off topic so back on with the rant. I go in get him undressed and the nurse came in I told her what I was there for. About 20 minutes after measurements and weigh in the doctor came in and did the exam, after he was finished the nurse came back in and gave him his shots, I asked her about the paperwork and she left the room to get it ready. She came back in after about 5 minutes asking me where Damien got his shots prior to his 12 month shots. I told her that he has been a patient in that office since birth. She proceeds to tell me that they have no record of him ever getting shots in their office prior to his 12 month shots. Needless to say, I flipped out on the lady. I think that I need anger management classes because this isn't the first time that I lost it with these people. I just can't figure out how a doctor's office can be so irresponsible as to lose some one's records. It wasn't like I played "musical doctor's office" I have been going to the same one for 17 months now! I am just so angry with the whole situation and I think that it may be time for me to find a more competent office.
